A bout me
Hello, I’m Danielle! I’m 27, recently married and a proud mum of an anxious little rescue dog called Brucey (the inspiration for his name came from our love of Bruce Springsteen!)
When I was just seven years old I performed at my very first wedding (my mum’s) and since then, I have sung countless beautiful brides down the aisle and I treasure every one of those moments.
I have a Bachelor of Applied Music (Performance) and a love for a wide range of musical styles. I adore Eva Cassidy’s voice and the sound of acoustic guitar and vocals!
I’ve had some wonderful performance experiences, although some have been a bit random - like in 2014 when I was crowned the Australian Female Karaoke Champion and represented Australia at the World Karaoke Championships in Sweden (yes, it’s a real thing!)
I have also dabbled in a bit of comedy/cabaret, writing my own show about growing up as a half-Lebanese, half-Australian woman. I performed my show, G’day Habibi, at the 2016 Melbourne Fringe Festival and it was nominated for “Best Cabaret”.
Due to popular demand, I performed an encore run of the show at the Butterfly Club in Melbourne, 2017. The show received a glowing review from Stage Whispers: “Danielle has a beautiful voice and a bold sense of humour...she’s a rising star with the potential to join the ranks of world-class Australian comedians such as Rebel Wilson”
In 2011, I recorded some music to fundraise for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal, raising $6000.
Some other professional highlights include performing overseas in Sri Lanka at Derrick J’s ‘Heritage of Song’ concert, Carols By The Bay Geelong alongside Denis Walter (2019, 2019), the ‘Linda Ronstadt Experience Show’ (as Linda, 2019) and appearances on Channel 7, Triple M, 3AW and Joy FM.
I believe I now have the best job in the world - helping to celebrate love!
